FILM
NO.W.HERE LAB
|
|
Created in 1998, no.w.here was conceptualised as a space where artist filmmakers
Karen Mirza and Brad Butler could meet to discuss their practice and to make
collaborative work outside of their individual backgrounds. In October 2001
no.w.here decided to expand these discussions to include others by establishing
a curatorial initiative : the Light Reading series.
Through this forum no.w.here have supported the work of over 100 'established
and emerging' artists in venues across the Uk and abroad. Over the years
no.w.here's vision for experimental film in London has grown to become a
production base for the artist filmmaking community. no.w.here's activities now
also include access to a unique set of film facilities for making artists film,
critical discussions, residency programmes, workshops and screenings.

PAULINE HALL
Since 1980 Pauline Hall's work has continuously explored ideas of structure
and time, primarily with drawing and paint in the 1980s to her more recent
time-based spatial explorations. This body of work explores interior spaces
and movement in and around seemingly static anonymous environments.
